{"id":184,"date":"2022-08-10T04:22:33","date_gmt":"2022-08-10T04:22:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dentalcouncilofjamaica.org\/dcj\/?page_id=184"},"modified":"2022-08-10T04:22:35","modified_gmt":"2022-08-10T04:22:35","slug":"the-pharmacy-act-1975","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/dentalcouncilofjamaica.org\/dcj\/the-pharmacy-act-1975\/","title":{"rendered":"The Pharmacy Act, 1975"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"pl-184\"  class=\"panel-layout\" ><div id=\"pg-184-0\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-no-style\" ><div id=\"pgc-184-0-0\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-184-0-0-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor panel-first-child panel-last-child\" data-index=\"0\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t>\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n\t<p class=\"font_7\"><span class=\"color_2\">Regulation Section 20<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8\"><span class=\"color_2\">\u00a0(5) Every prescription for a drug shall include the following:-<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8\"><span class=\"color_2\">(a) The date;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8\"><span class=\"color_2\">(b) The name, age and address of the person for whom the prescription is issued;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8\"><span class=\"color_2\">(c) The name, the generic name, and the quantity of the substance to be supplied;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8\"><span class=\"color_2\">(d) Adequate directions for the use of the substance prescribed;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8\"><span class=\"color_2\">(e) The usual signature of the prescriber and his name in legible print form;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8\"><span class=\"color_2\">(f) The address, telephone number and registration number of the prescriber;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"font_8\"><span class=\"color_2\">(g) Where the prescription is given by a registered dentist or registered veterinary surgeon or veterinary practitioner, the words \"for dental treatment only\" or \"for treatment of animals only\", as the case may require.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Regulation Section 20 \u00a0(5) Every prescription for a drug shall include the following:- (a) The date;
