Eligibility Criteria for the Registration Examination<\/h2>\n

To be eligible to take the examination you must:<\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. Provide satisfactory evidence of successful completion of an appropriate dental qualification<\/li>\n
  2. Registered as an oral health practitioner and provide a certified copy of the registration certificate, including Certificate of Good Standing from relevant Boards\/Council's where registration is or has been held in the last seven years. Certificates of Good Standing must be no more than three months old;<\/li>\n
  3. appear to satisfy the fitness criteria (see criteria);<\/li>\n
  4. demonstrate the ability to communicate and comprehend English to a level sufficient to protect the health and safety of the public and;<\/li>\n
  5. have not exceeded the maximum number of attempts, which is a maximum of three opportunities to pass both the written and clinical examinations collectively.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Validity period of examination components<\/h3>\n

    Applicants have three years from the date of first sitting the written examination to pass both examination components.<\/p>\n

    If an applicant fails to pass the written and clinical examinations within the three-year period they will not be eligible for registration in Jamaica through the Dental Council of Jamaica.<\/p>\n
